In order to institutionalise these arrangements, Addl Secretary (DP&S), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence,
Department of Defence Production & supplies discussed the matter with the Heads of DPSU's, Ordnance Factory Board,
DGQA, DGAQA and it was decided to promote and develop the Society of Defence Technologists & SODET Certification Body (SCB) with headquarters in Bangalore.
This was approved by the Hon'ble Defence Minister
The Society of Defence Technologists (S.O.D.E.T) and SODET Certification Body (SCB) is a professional and non-profit earning organisation,
and is registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 in January 2001 with the registered address at:
